Unrestricted Surface Supplied Diver Certification (USSD)

Welcome

In this program, you will obtain real world experience, diving to a maximum depth of 50 m using equipment, systems, and procedures that are standard in the offshore oil and gas industries. You will log these depths diving an IMCA-Certified offshore diving spread using a wet Bell System during the deep diving portions of the program.

This is intense training, sometimes in adverse conditions. You must have experienced the sensation of being underwater before entering the program, which is why you'll need your open water sports diving certification with 20 Logged dives totaling a minimum of 10 hours bottom time to enter the program.

When you graduate, you'll receive your Divers Certification Board of Canada (DCBC) Unrestricted Surface Supplied Diver Certificate, which is recognized by The International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA), The Association of diving contractors International (ADCI), the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) In the United Kingdom, and the Australian Diver Accreditation Scheme (ADAS).

You will also receive your CPR, First Aid, Oxygen administration, and WHMIS certificates.

Testimonials

“I wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted to do after high school but I knew I wanted it to be a career that would allow me to be predominately outdoors and in construction. Taking my Commercial Diving Certification with Kimball and his team was the best career decision I could have made. I was employed within 10 days of graduating and make more money than most of my friends graduating from university."

Luke Castle, Brockville, Ontario

"I very much appreciated Kimball Johnston going above and beyond, and his enthusiasm to assist his students in their endeavour to be successful. Whether or not you come into the program with lots of experience or none at all, the knowledge you gain and the dives you go on will have you prepared to start a commercial dive career anywhere in the world."

Chris Fernander, Nassau, Bahamas

“We have hired divers from every school all over the country. The divers that have been trained by Kimball and his team best meet our requirements. They come With the right attitude, well trained and punctual."

Kim Gregg, RMI Marine Limited
